The
pictures below shows a full structured cable system to conform
with category 5 cable system. All our work conforms to BS6701
apparatus trunking and rooting compliance.
The
cabinet consists of a 48 port patch panel to wall mounted sockets
and a 16 port patch panel for telephone systems. Also in
the cabinet is a 24 port D-link 100 Mb fast Ethernet with X-module
to talk to 10 Mb connections. The colours of cable denotes
blue for computer network connection, red for telephone systems
and green for ISDN.
The
idea of a structured cable system is that you can easily make
wall mounted sockets into either a telephone, computer or ISDN
port, by easily moving cable from one device to another.
